What I am Doing for Valentine's Day

For Valentines, I would like to be in Chicago on Lake Shores Blvd staying at Hotel InterContiential Chicago, www.icchicagohotel.com. February is still cold in Chicago. So, I would have to bundle up well to keep warm. There are plenty of things to do and the Chicago Auto Show 2009 starts on the 13th. The Chicago's Navy Pier is celebrating Black History Month with special programs and displays.

If not there then at Sybris in Indianapolis, www.sybris.com in a Delux Whirlpool Suite to experience a tranquil evening in a more spacious 5'x7' Soothing Whirlpool Tub. The Suite also has a misting steamroom, cozy fireplace, and a massage chair. With all that said, I am leaving the final detail up to him.

Female Traveler Must Have A "Magic Shawl"

The only shawl you can wear 10-ways. One size fits all. Doesn't wrinkle. Dress it up or down. I found this neat item at a boutique, Artizan, in Indianapolis' airport. Robin Barre the owner has an online store www.artizangifts.com.

This shawl comes in various colors and I only have it in black. This year, I plan to get it in another color maybe brown or white. It was very functional for the sun, the beach and late evening.

2009, Business Travel to South Carolina

I will spend three weeks of training in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. I have not been there since my Army Basic Training in 1982. I know things have changed and hopefully this will be a pleasant three weeks of learning and developing team spirit to complete all assignments. There probably won't be much time for leisure fun; but, hopefully there is time for maybe a movie, "The Beast" or "Not So Easily Broken" both are due out this January in threaters.

2008 Cabo San Lucas Most Funniest Thing

December 2008, Cabo San Lucas. I was walking to the city from Playa Grande Resort which was about 2-4 minutes. During this walk, I was reading text messages and e-mail messages on my blackberry when suddenly there was nothing but pain in my head and knee. I walked into a sidewalk directional sign for the resort. Funny and painful.

2007 Vegas Trip Travel Nightmare

Bad weather condition caused flight delays in Vegas. I had to remain overnight without my sweetie and I slept in the airport. Which paled to the accomodation at the Luxor Hotel where we were booked during our stay on the strip. I missed a day of work and scheduled business travel to Orlando, FL the following week.
